The 777 is a great airplane and AA's best.

It is more comfortable than their 767 and I go out of my way to fly it, hence, to London vs into other Euro cities. Yes, tv's at every seat. As I am not a big fan of CBS( a US television network(puke), I prefer the airshow-map of the flight.

____________

My personal advice, please don't beat me up, thanks:

Save the miles. What's the rush?

AA has MRTC, enjoy it. If you are elite you can use your electronic stickers and upgrade.

Save up some miles and then fly to someplace exotic on Qantas, Cathay, BA, Lan Chile, etc.

I actually get sick reading about people using precious miles to upgrade a domestic flight and it is like, dude, what are ya thinking? ( to a lesser extent an int'l flight)

When I flew NW/KLM, I used miles to upgrade and KLM's Business class product is good, but with AA and Oneworld, you have so many fantastic partners. One of my favorites was their former partner, may they rest in peace, Canadian.

It was 40K to fly across Canada, from the US. Went to Newfoundland. Their inflight service, lounges, all ran circles around American. So while others were flying AA, I would fly Canadian. Truly some of the best flights in my life with a window seat all to itself and real Business Class service, from the trolley at your seat and their lounges were awesome. Crews were just fantastic and coming around with the fresh basket of some of the best tasting croissants you have ever tried in your life. (Not gonna happen on AA, thanks. I think their rolls could be used as weapons, )

AA is great, blah blah blah, save the miles and fly something exotic. After you fly Cathay First, you just can't look back.
<end of soapbox, for now >
