I flew from MIA-DFW a few months ago on a 777, and upgraded to F. I thought the Flagship Suites were sweeeeeeeeet! You have your own little "cubicle", the seat converts to a flat bed, you can rotate your seat to the side where there is a foldout desk complete with power port and internet port (inoperable, but it made me feel warm and fuzzy thinking someday...

). There is also a spot for a friend to join you in your cubicle, with a fold down table between you. Having said that, the first class suites are not great if travelling as a couple as the the cubicles keep you pretty separated. There was a honeymooning couple on my flight that seemed a bit disappointed at this. They probably would have been better off in J.
As we flew over the islands of the Mississippi Delta at sunset, after a nice meal and ice cream sundae, I remember thinking, "How will I ever be able to fly in coach or even regular first class again?".
777 coach seats are not bad, compared to other planes' coach cabins. If you can upgrade, I think it's worth it. But even if you can't, I think you'll enjoy it.
