Another thought I had is to totally rework the whole food ritual thing. I mean its got to be a major pain, but everyone expects it. What about giving vouchers at the terminal, and let you chose something more healthy. I mean, how much can it cost to put that junk on the flight? 20 bucks, 40 bucks?
So I buy a ticket from FRA today for $1000 and when I arrive at the airport in FRA in six months to take that flight they hand me a 10 Euro voucher to buy my inflight meal prior to departure? Seems super inefficient.
