Waitrose Essentials (their house brand) has some good biscuits, and unlike Peek Freans they don't hide pigs and cows in their cookies!

Trader Joe has a house brand Pfeffernüsse but I have not yet tried them; they are very variable and have a wide range of taste and texture so will be interesting to see what TJ has as Pfeffernüsse.
