I just landed in LAX; somehow, I managed to snag one of the mythical BE upgrades (it is Saturday, which probably explains it).

It appears that that FAs somehow manage to forget (or skim past) the pre-departure safety check. Not only did one of the closet doors open onto a FA during taxi onto the runway, but during takeoff, three (large) water bottles flew out of the galley and through the aisles.

On an amusing note, this was the first time I've had to catch projectiles coming from the galley during takeoff. On a more disturbing note, what else could have flown out, and what kind of damage could it have caused?
