The Cathay Pacific lounge is pretty close to E20, the gate that AA flies out of, maybe a 2-3 minute walk. You have to take an elevator up one floor and it is easy to miss it, since that part of the terminal is barren and dark in the early hours of the morning.
The PEK lounge has a Cathay Pacific flight attendant cardboard figure near the elevator entrance but I do agree with
Time traveller that part of T3 is dark and empty - for most of the day.
