Passengers should not have two boarding passes - for security issues - though I know many people print two or more when doing OLCI at home. Different airports have different procedures for security/passport checks and, although I've been to GVA, not sure how their security systems would deal with that.
I think at LGW if two BPs are presented for the same person, flight, etc it would alert the agent on the security desk.
Oh and welcome to FT!
Well at LGW in a family of 4 we've been handed 4 boarding passes, but two were for the same passenger (this was at the transit desk)...so I guess staff can do it too.
