no, a small earring size ring down there doesnt sound the alarm, given that my watch doesnt either I wouldnt expect it to. In a different lifetime I used to set up metal detectors to detect metal in prepared chickens, I found that non ferrous metals that exceeded the set threshold in one dimension could sometimes pass the metal detector if they were a very small in the other dimension eg a flake of aluminium foil
