i used to use the term "low load factor mechanical", but now it is "low load factor weather".

i came back on aa51 last sunday...i had been checking the seats off and on for a while all of my acceptable first choices were taken and the rest of the 2nd y section was virtually empty [1st y area was pretty full....on fri, i checked again a choice seat was empty which i glommed onto...i did consider trying for 5 across but didn't. after boarding, 1st y was full & 2nd y had all aisles in center & most of the 2 seat rows taken + some center section seats in use including a disturbed kid behind me kicking my seat.[managed to solve that w/o fa help]. i wondered weather? a lot of people didn't have preassigned seats or they were from a canceled flight or what.
