I was looking at seat assignments on my SNA-JFK flight and it appears at least half the plane is empty. Granted, the flight is 8 weeks away, but it started me wondering.

How empty does a flight have to be to get cancelled?

How much notice do they give you when your flight is cancelled/changed for these reasons?
