I have packed a towel round the club heads, but no stick (I haven't got one and have tons to do before I fly). I have a decent outer bag, though not a hard case. The nornal golf bag has a hood, and I have put the towel over the heads in that, with a bit of that elastic strapping stuff to keep everything together.
I found the dubaigolf.com website and have had some email correspondence. I'll start on the 9-hole course, as I have not played for a while and have no current handicap (which I think you need for the 18-hole courses). Also, being rather unfit, 9 holes will do me for me for now. The price for that course is very reasonable.
