Unfortunately, the IDs are produced by each individual airline and there is no way for a screener to verify it's validity. The solution is CrewPASS which ALPA, and other pilot unions, have been pushing for for some time. With CrewPASS the screener would have a very high-level confirmation that the pilot is who he is presenting himself to be.
