Hey all,
I'm the author of the press release that started this thread, and the owner of the company involved. Just to set things straight: I'm not really looking to 'make a buck' or 'ambulance chase' (although we do enjoy getting paid). My company works very closely with attorneys in very legitimate cases where video can show how someone's life has changed far more effectively than documents or transcripts from depositions.

As a former network news reporter who traveled as much as many of you, I know what you know: just about everything that the TSA does is videotaped, even if they only publicly release certain "views" when there is a controversy. I also know, as you do, that many of the TSA workers we all encounter are poorly trained glorified baggage screeners with a law enforcement ego, but no law enforcement background whatsoever. They often prey on passengers who do whatever they're told, thinking those embroidered badges are actually legit.

I do believe it is inevitable that someone is going file suit at some point, and if it is a legitimate case, we are merely offering to help out. We strongly support law abiding law enforcement, and know there are many great officers (and possibly even TSA "agents") out there. That being said, I think few would disagree with the opinion that the TSA is largely out of control. In our society, "out of control" often leads to litigation.
