We stayed at the RC for my partner's conference in May since there is no Hyatt (and the SPGs were sold out when I booked). We booked through a Virtuoso agent here on FT (PM me if you want his handle), and the hotel pre-upgraded us to Club level shortly after booking (way before the stay). While I'm not a big fan of club lounges in hotels, it came in really helpful this stay since I did spend a lot of time in the hotel. Virtuoso benefits also included a restaurant breakfast (which kind of duplicated being in Club) and supposedly a Spa credit (which we didn't get). So if you've decided on the RC, it might be worhtwhile to check what the Virtuoso rate is for your stay.
Long story short, I was happy with the hotel even though the decor is a bit fussy for my taste.
