1) the shuttle was not there (when all other hotel were waiting at RDU), you need to call the shuttle (took me 15 min to realize), I called and had to wait 30 min (at 1am!).
2) The rooms are really bad, not clean, dated...
3) That part was the worst by far, the walls are so thin that yiou can hear wispers from the hall, other rooms... Meaning at around 3:30am a lot of early departure are waiking up, banging suitcases around...
Basically I was not able to sleep...
I mean you will be fine but for the same money the other hotel look better.
Thanks for the warning.
I'm arriving 21:45 and departing 06:15 which means that if I'm lucky, I'll be in the hotel 6:45 mins, let alone sleep time. Actually banging on the walls may be good for me to prevent oversleeping.
Still, I may have to shift over to some other place.
If I have time, I'll check out how bad the RDU Microtel is before my first RDU DEQM flight takes place.
For my STL DEQM run, I stayed at the delightfully dated Pear Tree Inn as I wanted a cheap place to crash before another 06:00 flight. While dated, that hotel was clean and tidy, staff friendly and next to a decent BBQ place.
