I have to agree with Ari--activists do go out of their way to get arrested for the cause, get media attention, etc. OTOH, Broward Co. law enforcement has always had a terrible reputation for their treatment of young people. Why do you think the spring breakers don't go there anymore?
By activists, do you mean citizens who try to exercise their right to travel freely in this country without unnecessary harassment? Are people activitists now just because they work for a radio station? How about employees of newspapers? magazines? websites?
I guess people should just shut their mouth about these things, keep their head down and comply with whatever TSA tells them to do, whether it is legally required or not.
