These are allegedly TRAINED PROFESSIONALS, who should be able to take whatever pithy comments and comebacks and behavior a passenger (read: CUSTOMER) throws their way professionally.
Look at the palace guards in London. Can you see one of THEM decking a smart-mouthed American tourist and saying to his superior "She called me names and made faces" as a legitimate excuse? I. Think. Not.
