It does provide me and I'm sure others a great benefit for the odd time we do travel with family or have extra items to check. Most FFs have learnt to pack efficiently, the only thing that keeps me from travelling with carry-on only are the restrictions on liquids.
Anyhow, I greatly appreciated the luggage allowance of 3x32kg when moving to another place for a few months.

When I started as an E / *G, it was 4 bags, some or all of which could be up to 75 lb. Now it's 2 at 75lb or 3 at 50lb IIRC.
The luggage allowance in fact is even more generous: Itīs 3x 70lb/32kg for E/SEs on AC operated flights.
