Egypt would definitely be a go. A good 10-12 days.... do not miss Abu Simbel...it is expensive to get there...but way worth it. Also the nile cruise and the valley of the kings...in addition to Cairo. You can get your egyptian visa upon arrival.

India... depends...never been to south India, which I hear is great (Kerala and Chennai)

Delhi is pretty neat, and you can go to Agra (the Taj Mahal). I also recommend Darjeeling near Nepal, fly to Bagdogra and drive 3 hrs up the mountain. It is a good alternative to going to Nepal.

You need a visa for travel to India, takes 1-2 days to get it.

Calcutta is underrated...it is polluted, but has a lot of nice buildings (used to be the indian colonial capital until the 1920's)
I actually liked it for a day or two.

To fly domestically, fly Jet Airways...the best airline...
