Where to go in Indian Sub-Continent/Middle East

I'm an American, and I will be living in England for about three more years. I now have almost 50,000 miles in my account. I was looking at interesting ways to use these miles that would leverage my current location. The awards chart shows that both Indian Sub-Continent/Middle East and Africa awards are cheaper here. I think going to the Indian Subcontinent or the Middle East seems exciting in general, but I was wondering what your specific recommendations were for places I could get with an AA award ticket. Any suggestions?

Should I wait until I have 60,000 and try for a J ticket instead? I'm 6'1'' and I'm normally quite comfortable in MRTC, and would never seriously consider giving up miles that I could use to take another trip for a better class of service. But then again my trip probably won't be on AA metal :-( so it might be worth the extra miles. Then again 20,000 is almost enough for a two-stop circle trip within the U.S. and it would be hard to give that up.

That brings up another question. Does AA allow extra stopovers for award tickets in this area like they do on North America/Europe tickets? I just used an 40,000 mile award ticket to go LGW-DFW-AUS-ZRH-(LX)-LCY. Can I do something similar when going to other regions?

Thanks for your help, FT!
