Stayed there when my son was born in 2008 ... great hotel on a quite upper side of Wireless Rd next to the British and Swiss embassies! Walking distance to Sukhumvit or Chitlom.

Taxi fare should be less than 400 THB from BKK but we are talking about nickles and dimes here.
