I whole-heartedly agree, if you need the extra miles. I don't, so it wasn't part of my calculation. Back when I did MRs on DL I would fly itineraries like DEN-SLC-ATL-CVG-YYZ (okay.. so I slipped that beauty in on a work related flight). Maybe it is seeing the inside of too many airports, but I got tired of that kind of routing. Maybe if I was doing more international travel and didn't see the same crappy US airport concessions it wouldn't be so bad.
If only UA wasn't charging so much for flights to Springfield, MO around Christmas... then I wouldn't be doing a MR at all. C'est la vie.
