Thankīs for the input so far!
Sorry for the delay in posting back.
Unfortunately this situation is a little more complicated than I originally posted:
1. This is an award ticket issued by US airways, original itinerary (confirmed and ticketed) was DUS-ZRH-NRT (LX F)-BKK (TG F)-SYD (TG F) on Dec. 26.
2. ZRH-NRT has been cancelled by LX on that day (no idea why, it doesnīt seem to be a schedule change, as the flight operates on the same day the week before and after)
3. LX rebooked me on DUS-FRA-NRT on LH in C.
4. Nobody bothered to inform me about the change (despite me contact info being displayed to all operating carriers involved), I just noticed the change in the Amadeus system one day. Would have been interesting to just show up at LX check-in saying "Sorry, we canīt find your booking. Oh, I think someone rebooked you on the flight a few hours ago.".
5. Contacting US Airways got me nowhere as booking class O obviously is not available on any flights to Asia on my date (I would have been willing to be rerouted via ICN etc.) and told me to contact LX as they had made the rerouting / IVD before.
6. I contacted LX: After some arguing they agreed that they were responsible to rectify the situation as they had previously made the change. I suggested a variety of options (incl. issuing a seperate one-way ticket on LX ticket stock to Asia, contacting LH to open up O class on MUC-NRT or - the easiest option - opening up O class on ZRH-BKK on the LX operated flight). While the call center staff did their best to try and help me, they didnīt get any permission from their supervisors to rectify the situation.
7. As reservations couldnīt help me, I spoke with a few supervisors and customer relations who said reservations had to solve
