Question is a 50 minute layover on a MR just too risky to consider?

Following is an outline of the itinerary I’m considering for a MR on DL in December. If my calculations are correct, this MR will give me more than enough EQMs to retain my GM status for another year. However, I’m concerned that the risk in slipping my itinerary would jeopardize my tight connection (50 minute layover) in SFO and would appreciate comments from MR warriors about the validity of this whole itinerary as well as the risk (e.g., am I cutting this turn in SFO too close?)

• Positioning flight to BNA on Sunday
• 7 hour layover before nested flight from BNA to SFO
50 minute layover in SFO (at 11:43pm) before mileage run turn on redeye
• Depart SFO at 12:35am on Monday morning
• 4.25 hour layover in BNA before return to original starting point
• Total cost – both tickets $457
• Positioning flights 1,814 miles rt + nested flights 4,568 miles rt = 6,382 miles total
• 6,382 x 2 (double EQM promo) = 12,764 EQMS plus
• 10,000 bonus miles for domestic coach ticket = 16,382 frequent flyer miles

(Hopefully I provided enough info to help me decide whether this is do-able or too risky.... if not, I can certainly give more specifics.)
