Actually Blackjack I think the runway was opened officially in Nov 98. I remember the time period because I was off due to a car accident (three years ago today actually) and operated this flight as my first one back to work.

The hanger and Novotel buildings are coming down for the sake of a new runway. Both buildings are in the way of a new proposed flight path.
