Shareholder, you probably landed on runway 33L-15R, which was completed about a year ago (correct me if I'm wrong on this, A FlyGirl), and which parallels 33R-15L. I noticed that they only seem to use these two north-south runways on extremely windy days, or if the cross-winds on the east-west runways is too high, but didn't know about the noise restrictions.
A FlyGirl, you mentioned a new runway on the south end of YYZ. Is that in addition to 24L-6R, or is it to replace that runway? I too drive by the old Canadian hanger on my way to and from work each day. What, if anything, are they going to put up on all that land after it's torn down?
