mesquite, I know a Tokyo-based US expat (for over 10 years) who went through the process. He reported getting approval in about a week to 10 days.
Glad it worked so well! By the way, did you get any nice reaction from the CBP agents working the exit area? Last time @ SFO with GE, the officer said "Welcome Home, sir and enjoy the weekend!" ^
