This is the reply I got back from US Airways:
Thank you for contacting US Airways.
A preferred member is only allowed to upgrade 1 companion. As a
Chairman's member, you may upgrade Mr. XXXXX, but Mr. XXXXX
XXXX will have to wait until 2 days prior to departure to upgrade.
Because you have all 3 in your reservation, you will not go through the
auto-upgrade process until 2 days prior to departure. If you wish to
upgrade yourself and Mr. XXXXX, you will need to call Reservations to
divide Mr. XXXX out to a new reservation where he will go
through the auto-upgrade process 2 days prior to departure.

of US Airways.

That is not what their website says. I'm not mad it just an upgrade but they should rewrite their website for the policy change.
