I usually travel alone but this coming weekend I head to PVR with my brother and a guest. I'm Chairmans, My brother is Silver and my guest is (nothing) we are all booked on same PNR from USAIRWAYSVACATIONS.COM.
What are the upgrade window for that? 7 days (Chairmans) or 3 days (Silver) from
www.usairways.com it says
Companion upgrades
One traveling companion per Preferred member is eligible to upgrade when traveling in the same reservation with a qualifying paid ticket. Companions will be upgraded at the same time as the Preferred member. If there are multiple Preferred members traveling within the same reservation, upgrade priority will be determined by the highest-level Preferred member in the reservation.
If the number of non-Preferred members is greater than the number of Preferred members within your reservation, we will not automatically process your upgrade. Please call US to modify your reservation.
I take that to mean the Silver member would be treated like Chairmans since we are on the same PNR and would have got email for upgrades at the 7 day window.
Didn't happen so I sent a nice email to chairmans desk and they replied that with my brother there it would be (3) days and I was just curious if I'm just misreading their site or if I was told wrong info today.
On a side note I really don't like that USAIRWAYSVACATIONS.COM doesn't ticket till 7 days out. That doesn't let me go in and get decent seats till they are all gone.
