The good point about NW service was that it was quick and frequent. The cart was very helpful in providing quick service, a quick meal, and a second drink so that you could nap or work.

Getting a second drink on Delta is often like pulling teeth. US Air often solved the problem by leaving a second drink.

The cart was substantive service while the no-cart is eye-appeal service.

The only alternative to no-cart is more FA's in first. And that annoying thud-thud-thud from that annoying back and forth. Bring back the cart, enjoy more service, and eliminate the thud-thud-thud.
