Yeah I've always found Priority tags work. Problem is with "Club" tags on BR68 LHR-BKK-TPE. As you know most pax leave at BKK and new pax board - sometimes US bound.
At TPE, the bags typically come off in this order:
1) Priority
2) Luggage starting BKK (Club/Elite first - alot of golf clubs!)
3) Rest of luggage starting BKK
4) Rest of luggage starting LHR (Club/non tagged, all mixed in)
So unless you're "priority" tagged, given that most pax are starting in BKK, it can be a very long wait.
Fortunately since switching handlers to AA, they've been tagging me "Priority" again in London. Not sure how long that will last.
If the new Elite tags are getting the same priority as Golds (who should get "Club"), then especially with with the increase in cabin sizes, this is a significant deterioration for Golds. (103 Elite class travellers in the 77S.) Also for Golds who fly Elite, there is no longer a benefit.
