The two other airlines that use RR engines havent said there are any issues with their aircraft.

RR have an ability to monitor the engines when they are being used to fly pax around the world. It would appear that QF dont want this feature. Which is fine as long as the aircraft is being maintened well. We will wait until the statement on Friday from RR on their understanding of what happened.

The pilots are upset about the outsourcing of the maintenance contracts. But then they would say that. BA is a little aware of unions being 'grumpy'.
What a strange post.

Firstly, I hope you have actually read up on the matter and realise QF don't service the engines? RR provide their total service offering to QF and are completely responsible for them. That's right, QF don't service them, RR do. RR do absolutely everything.

Also QF/RR do monitor the engines on a 24 x 7 basis so I don't know why you think this option has not been taken up by QF.

I strongly urge you to do your homework before making claims which have no basis in fact. In fact, I'm not even going to bother to answer some of your other claims.
