I flew from LHR to JFK last week, and my buddy (who is Exec Plat) submitted a request for a business class upgrade using one of his SWU for me.

When I got to the airport, I was told that I had to pay $96. for the SWU.

I THOUGHT she said it was tax, but I asked my buddy today and he said he never pays any money for his SWU.

Any idea what the charge was for?
