Okay on new fresh information. I feel that the outsourcing of all QF maintenance outside of Australia is affecting their business and the quality of their aircrafts. It depends on whether you view the latest two instances as a major safety issue or not is up to you. I personally dont, but then I dont believe what the CEO Of QF is saying anymore, thats why I replied to the BA thread on this matter.
The two other airlines that use RR engines havent said there are any issues with their aircraft.
RR have an ability to monitor the engines when they are being used to fly pax around the world. It would appear that QF dont want this feature. Which is fine as long as the aircraft is being maintened well. We will wait until the statement on Friday from RR on their understanding of what happened.
The pilots are upset about the outsourcing of the maintenance contracts. But then they would say that. BA is a little aware of unions being 'grumpy'.
