Cheese is definitely not allowed. They once stopped me and confiscated the Brie Cheese. I also had some Parmesan which they (luckily) didn't recognize as such. So I got away with a bit over half the value. There are no fines for attempting though and the chances they stop you are quite slim (They stopped me because I had other things attracting their attention on the x-ray).
