Being that they inbound flight from DEL was cancelled, they would have known about this issue hours in advance, and had plenty of opportunity to contact passengers and at the very least save them the trip to the airport.
From an international quality airline, I would also have expected them to find accommodation for stranded pax. That's what any other OW carrier would have done.
From what others have said, and based on my recent experience travelling DEL-BOM on KF First, I can say that KF is definitely all about the bling with no real substance.
