Female pax can wait 10-15 minutes until a female TSO is available for that patdown.
I've seen male TSA employees touch female passengers, more so when those passengers are infants and toddlers. No less so when the travel involves an airport security checkpoint with limited staffing which at the time of screening doesn't have TSA employees of both genders present.
Haven't you heard about the TSA rubbing the diapered rumps of infants and toddlers? Often in such situations the TSA doesn't ask about the gender of the infant and toddlers -- not that it matters since same-sex-oriented pedophiles exist too.
