All airlines have different fare buckets for each class of service. Nothing new here and nothing AF specific. These fare buckets are designed by a letter. Each of them correspond to a specific fare and to specific conditions of use (in term of modification and refund). Also, in relationship with the FFP program of the airline, each fare bucket may be associated with different mileage earnings.
