The layover is only around two hours, which is, I suppose, why they are seeing it as an unbreakable connection. But the reality is that it is a multi-stop itinerary (starting with a CLT-MSP a couple of days before).

I guess I will hope to get a reasonable agent at check-in in MSP.

My recent experiences with the CP desk at US have been rather disappointing. Lately, it seems that the answer to every request, even simple and obvious things, is no. I am starting to believe the many voices heard regularly on flyertalk to say that US really fundamentally doesn't care about hanging onto its elite travelers.
