So, you are technically ineligible whether you split the PNR, your child sits in a different row, etc, etc. You are in care of an under 15 year old.
Although, it does not list anything about a second family member taking care of the family..

OP, I'd see if you could find a bulkhead. If not, the option of sitting with the oldest kid, and then having the younger one with your wife might work..
