Same with CR-1s and SWUs - sure, 6 SWUs sounds great, but if you might go the entire year never clearing one, while at the same time paying 2-3x for your ticket just to be eligible, it's a letdown. I'd almost rather have 2-3 SWUs that can be verified and guaranteed at booking time and give me the opportunity to make other plans.
Hear hear! I have considered we and UA have a symbiotic relationship: each benefits the other by sticking close. I want them to stay in business and I am willing to do what it takes(so far) to stay 1K.
Our success with SWUs used to be 100%: now it takes a lot of work to find NC space, nail-biting to wait for clearance, etc...I would really prefer 2-4 CONFIRMABLE SWU's. Also, if United spies read this, I'd love to be able to change tickets without being charged an exorbidant fee...and not having to pay for full fare coach, either.
