We do this route and HNL from DFW non-stop 763 2-3 times a year. Our experience is that they stepped up to more International service standards on these long haul HI routes the past couple years. . .here's the usual drill:
After take off they do a first round drink order, pass out menus and bring the warm trop fruit nut mix with that drink and pass hot towels. Then FA working your aisle comes down aisle following FEOB, makes personal greeting confirming your name, takes your entree order. Then they do the linen tray set up and salad service and wine service (or another cocktail). After you are done with your salad they clear and then they do individual entree service. They continue to replinish wine/drinks during dinner. After they clear entree dishes. Then they bring down the sundae/fruit cheese/cordials cart and take your order. And then fruit and cheese again before arrival.
A step up. . . a few years ago it was more abbreviated.
