Please don't think that this is bragging but I already have my own Range Rover (and Lexus limo) and driver and therefore the extra expense of solely flying F verses and mixture of F and C, especially given the increased fares and improved quality of Biz seating over the last few years does not seem worthwhile to stand a slim chance one day of being driven in a branded one by someone else. I suspect that most of the elite IO 200 already have even better cars with drivers at their disposal in Dubai and therefore unless there are a string of other meaningful benefits it will not really mean much to them either. In short there is still nothing on the horizon to reward the type of guys that post here regularly for earning multiples of the tier points needed to qualify for Gold. As I think Ung1 posted on another thread earlier today most of us probably use EK because they fly where we want to go, when we want to go, in the main in comfort and at a price that makes sense otherwise we would not do it. There is also nothing to to encourage us to stick with EK if their is a slightly better alternative that makes sense for one reason or another. I for one use alternatives (especially EY) because I see no reason to favour one over the other in marginal choice situations.
