Yes I think it has set a precedent but the whole issue will be back in the forefront on October 19th. The CIRB just gave the unions some breathing room to try and work things out with AC directly. In the meantime all the unions execs are burning the midnight oil to compile and present work shared work programs and other initiatives to mitigate the number of involuntary layoffs that will be issued.

Thanks for the vote Ken and I feel confident that I can assure you that most of the staff are fully aware and even reluctantly receptive to the need of cutting the workforce but they just want to see it done right and with some compassion shown.

A lack of housecleaning forthcoming amongst upper management is another sore spot that has many union and non-union employees gritting their teeth. Knocking down some of the VPs to the VPs of the VP of ??? should be in order too at this time don't you think?
