Your status won't update until "the flight which puts you over the top" posts to your account so in this case, unless your outbound flight posts prior to you landing (and that is highly doubtful), you'll still be 2p for you return (but the good news is that your return flight should post as a 1p as that will post after your outbound flight (but if it doesn't for some reason, a quick call to mp will fix it and give you the applicable 1p bonus).

Lastly, I'm going to ask one of the moderators (via the little red triangle next to each post) to move you thread to the UA forum as I don't claim to be an expert and perhaps (and hopefully in your case) one of the other UA experts can prove me wrong .
