I believe there are over the limit fees for credit cards as well. Looking at the terms and conditions for a Visa Signature card, you will see that they charge up to $35 for for going over your limit. It is strange because I am now seeing that you can select the same option on Visa credit cards as on debit cards:

"you can request that we cover overlimit transactions by opting in as instructed below.....we will charge you $39".

This doesn't make since in the fees section it states that they will charge you up to $35.
