What is really to hate about YWG's current terminal? It's a bit dated, but it's also all in one building (no train between terminals needed). Walking from one gate to another takes on order of 2 minutes. It has the only Swiss Chalet in Winnipeg. Wait till people start .....ing about the airport fees inevitably going up due to the over budget new terminal, perhaps than they'll appreciate the old one.
I don't personally believe a new terminal will generate anymore traffic (and perhaps even less if fees go up and it becomes cheaper to fly out of Fargo).
I agree. I'm looking at YWG right now from my hotel room at the 4 Points and its a great effecient airport. Off the plane, & checked in my hotel room in less than ten minutes. Plus, best rice krispie squares in the country at the grab and go place beside Harvey's/Swiss Chalet. I might have to go get one tonight now that I think about it.
