That's pitty :-(
A few cheap long distance eco (evt. biz) trips would be my preffered solution (that means maximizing flight time instead of the time wasting on the ground and waiting inside a lounge for boarding :-P ).

Is it maybe easier/cheaper to get elite+ status on another FFP of ST with flown miles?
