I researched this heavily recently, and it seems that reports vary. Many say that it will occur the first Friday or Saturday night after you cross the threshold. Some have reported the computers realizing your status faster. The miles that moved me from PM to DM posted on a Friday and status changed on Saturday, so I can't say if the day had anything to do with it!
