On the other hand, shouldn't I earn miles and points for flying BA (other than transatlantic and deep discount), even if it's not a codeshare?
>>Earn a minimum of 500 AAdvantageŽ miles each time you purchase and fly on a published eligible fare ticket on British Airways, a member of the oneworld alliance, except for miles earned on eligible Discount Economy Class Fares, which (effective January 1, 2004) will be 25% of the normal minimum, or 125 AAdvantage miles. British Airways' transatlantic flights to/from the U.S. do not accrue AAdvantage miles. Qualifying mileage counts toward AAdvantage Executive PlatinumŽ, AAdvantage PlatinumŽ and AAdvantage GoldŽ status and bonuses.>>
Does "published eligible fare" mean everything that's not:
>>Certain airline tickets are not eligible for earning mileage credit. These include, without limitation, the following: all tickets issued as AAdvantage awards or other free ticket promotions including free or reduced rate tickets; companion tickets; charter flight tickets; travel agency/ industry reduced rate tickets; infant tickets; items occupying a purchased seat; unpublished fare tickets, including consolidator fares (American Airlines tickets booked in O class or transatlantic tickets booked in Q class (and equivalent booking codes on participating carriers); and tickets issued subject to special provisions. >>
Do I recall correctly that I can only earn miles on one carrier, not both AA and BA for the same flight?
